Welcome to Plutycze

Plutycze is one of the most beautiful villages in Eastern Poland. It has remarkably preserved its traditional character and landscape over the centuries – colourful wooden houses built one next to the other, all facing the main road with shutters and ornamented windows, facades and quoins.

The exceptionally welcoming and friendly Eastern Orthodox inhabitants of Plutycze speak their own language which is a combination of Ukrainian, Belarusian and Polish. Our village is surrounded by forests and meadows stretching to the banks of the Narew River. It is a unique place, where people still have something that most of us lack – the time to sit on a bench, simply chatting and enjoying the moments spent together.

We invite everyone to a virtual trip to Plutycze. We would like to show you our village through the eyes of its inhabitants, the people who have preserved and still create its unique atmosphere. This website is not only about Plutycze, but also about the region of Podlasie, a beautiful part of Poland, still undiscovered and mostly unknown. It is a place for everyone who would like to discover this part of Eastern Poland with respect and appreciation for the local culture and traditions of this peaceful and truly exceptional region.

Let’s begin by looking at some photos which capture the atmosphere of our village and its surroundings:
